Me: Can't believe this year is almost over! That's just crazy!
Co-worker: I know isn't it?
It's the statement that is probably being said over and over again as another year begins to wind down. I mean Christmas really is a week away?
It seems like the busier I become, the more time slips away. A bittersweet thing for sure. However, I've learned this year to really value the ways in which I spend my time and not waste it!
Participating in Rosetta Thuman's #31dayreset program helped quite a bit in helping me to become clear and proactive about my goals and lifestyle. It's really amazing how much clutter you can clear out of your life once you become really clear about the things you want out of it. It also served as a helpful encourager to visualize the areas of my life and to most importantly not waste my time!

Ending of 23. 07/21/2011
Yes. It's true. I'm getting older. But growing wiser.
August 15th is my birthday and I'll be a remarkable 24!
I'm really proud and thankful for how far I've come. I've accomplished quite a bit. I have no reason to complain. To be honest I think I've learned more about myself this year than the other years. I've really made a commitment to my personal and professional development. I also feel that I'm coming into my own as a woman, a strong-willed woman who really knows who she is and where she is going.
Making mistakes, falling down getting up, being hurt and broken only to be healed in the end is apart of living and surviving in the world. I've learned what it means to love my life and I'm doing what's necessary to keep me happy and keep myself first.
24 to me, is my taking off point. I see myself really throwing my energy into the things that I've always wanted to do or have been talking about doing for a while (too long). I've spent most of this year making adjustments to my attitude and mental state and since I've done that, I feel that I will take action with no hesitation with my life choices and my goals. It's my time now!

I Just Wanna Say.... 06/23/2011
Each day, I constantly remind myself of how grateful I am for my life and how thankful I am to have it. I know that there is a purpose for my life and I realize now (especially since I'm getting older lol) that I can not take it for granted...AT ALL! You can't let the small stuff get to you nor should you allow other people get to you. It's not worth it. If you spend more time in gratitude and really commit to practicing it everyday you will see how precious life really is. So I'm thankful! I'm happy! I'm blessed!
Interview x 4 06/17/2011
I landed 4 interviews in one week. :D
I don't think I ever had to talk about myself so much in five days. However this month has been the most active and yet somewhat dramatic as well. Out of the four interviews I know that I'm not in the running anymore for one of the positions but to me it just means that I'm one step closer to landing the perfect position!
Fingers crossed! Hopes high! Patiently waiting...

What I learned about Social Media Resumes 05/24/2011
Well it's pretty obvious that the competition for jobs in the social media field is pretty darn high. And why wouldn't it be? Social media is what companies are seeing as effective and valuable for their business and most importantly their customers. It's a trend that I don't see falling any time soon.
Mashable posted an article appropriately titled, "10 Creative Social Media Resumes to Learn From" which highlighted/introduced resumes that were very creative and inspiring to say the least. The 'Why didn't I think of that?' question sufficed heavily as I scanned through them. One thing that the author, Brian Anthony Hernandez made was that, "The undeniable success and innovation of high-profile social media campaigns — from such brands as Old Spice, Google Chrome and Starbucks — have inspired this ongoing push for companies to hire people with social media skills." While I'm still in search of my full-time job, I realize how important it is to know and maintain your personal brand and how much of an impact it has on your overall success.
I've created a couple of variations of my resume/skills, using the following websites: BeyondCredentials, About.Me and Flavor.Me, check them out below. If you are looking for ways to creatively show your skills/optimize your SEO, I would highly suggest checking them out.
My Beyond Credentials Page, about.me, flavors.me pages.
In all honesty, putting these together was actually pretty fun to do!
In my blog, randomness, life lessons and new discoveries will be shared. Read at your own risk! :)
